Israelites on their forty-year journey recorded in the Old Testament used incense to entreat the mercy of God to come and bless them. As they set up their Tabernacle, there were a specific number of candles, brass candlesticks, incense, and many other things used to achieve this. Many cultures worldwide use these powerful tools to offer blessings to God or Creator and ask for help or deliverance.
