Author Guidelines

AngelAccess is designed for the purpose of teaching you how to work with your own angels and how to tune up your Holy Spirit. Therefore, articles submitted to the magazine must address at least one of these areas. Articles are welcome from all sources, as long as they cover any of the above subjects.

Read this entire page before submitting to avoid having your work rejected! Submissions should state the type of submission in the subject of the email. Email notification will acknowledge receipt of your submission. If you do not receive confirmation with-in two weeks of submission, please drop us a note. Sometimes we cannot acknowledge submissions because those who use an ISP connection have not configured the email address correctly. Please make sure that it is correct. Please follow the instructions below for submissions. We reject submissions made through the guest book, or written all in caps. Early submissions are encouraged. We are unable to pay our contributors.

AngelAccess has an open call for poetry, short stories, personal experiences, parables, experiences with the light and sound, meditation techniques, spiritual exercises, religious articles, artwork, and comments from our readers. We seek themes that express the spiritual journey to God in an individual's daily life. Articles and poetry do not need to speak of a particular religion or spiritual belief but can convey an experience that touch the heart of a reader and leaves the reader with a positive feeling. Before you submit material, read all of the submissions policy, to get a feel for what the magazine publishes.

Information Content

The magazine does not solicit or advocate verses, quotations, or text from the books of religions, but strives to offer a nondenominational forum for people. However, an occasional quotation from a religion's theological text can be included if it has relevance. If sharing your personal spiritual beliefs, or those of a particular religion, be aware that others may be unfamiliar with your terminology.

These must be articles without any sales pitch. If the article has "salesy" information, it will be deleted during editing. We have found that salesy articles can actually be counter-productive, so please stick to the facts. These articles can fit any of the following formats:

Writing Style

We try to maintain the writing style of the author; however, we must sometimes edit the material to enhance clarity. The most important characteristic of the material should be a smooth flow of information presented in a logical manner. Our major concern is not spelling and sentence structure, although it is best to do this properly.

We understand that it is difficult to bring out all details, particularly with a subject that you have been working with and know intimately. Therefore, before you send the article to the magazine it is usually a good idea to have someone who is not thoroughly familiar with the subject review the article. Technical articles should emphasize technical details. Historical information may be interesting but is usually not relevant, so minimize this type of information. Include history only if it is absolutely essential to the article.

The first paragraph of the article should explain the overall subject, but with a minimum of detail. The rest of the article can describe the details. There should also be a direct correlation between the headline and the first paragraph. However, you don't have to spend a lot of time figuring out the headline's we can do that in the editing process.

Between the headline and the start of the article we include a short description of what is significant about the article. This "deckhead" is usually one sentence, sometimes two. If you want to write this you can, but if you give us a good description, we'll clean it up. The finished article will include "subheads" that break up the text. Therefore, they will probably change in the final copy. You don't have to put in subheads that say "Introduction" and "Conclusion" because they won't be used.

Proofing

Please proofread your article the day you receive our typeset version. Due to deadline restrictions, we can only make corrections at this time. The corrections must be FAXed or sent overnight to AngelAccess.

When Will It Be Published?

It is usually hard to tell when an article will be published. Subjects for most articles are set in our editorial calendar for the year and we try to maintain this schedule. However, new and significant concepts usually get published quickly, regardless of the editorial schedule.
