In Biblical times it was quite common to recite Psalms to give thanks unto the Lord. Some of the most famous ones composed by King David, not only gave thanks, they were a request for help and deliverance, even from his enemies. Use them to release some of your pain or anguish or to put your anxiety to rest.

Our Father, which art in heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Sacred Heart Of Jesus
Lord Jesus Christ, who said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find," look at me, prostrate at your divine feet with vivid faith. Full of confidence in your promises, dictated by your Sacred Heart and pronounced by your adorable lips. I implore you to hear my prayer.


To whom can I go, if not you, whose heart is a fountain of inexhaustible graces and merits? Where shall I look, if not in the treasure which contains the riches of your clemency and generosity? Where can I call, if not at the door which leads us to God?


To you Oh Divine Heart of Jesus I do go. In you I find consolence to my afflictions, protection when I am being persecuted, strength when I am dejected. I firmly believe my Jesus, that you can pour over me the grace which I implore even if a miracle is necessary. I only have to desire it and my wish will be granted. I recognize my Jesus, that I am not deserving of your favors, yet there is no motive to discourage me. You are the God of compassion, and you will not refuse a repenting and humiliated heart which comes to you with confidence. I implore your compassionate heart to find in my miseries and faults a justified motive to grant me my petition.


Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus, whatever your decision may be, I will never stop adoring, praising, loving and serving you all my life. Lord, accept this act of perfect submission. I sincerely desire to obey and honor you.

O Jesus, Who has said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened," through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted. Amen. (Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "All that you ask of the Father in My Name, He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask your Father in your name that my prayer will be granted. Amen. (Make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away but My Word shall not pass through the Intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted. Amen. (Make your request.)

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide.

Protecting spirit who watches over me always, you who have this mission, now for the joy of doing good and for progress and purification of your spirit, save me, for during the night my spirit goes to meet the unknown. Take me to where my loved ones and my friends are and those who want to help me. Help me with all the problems of my life. Oh, that the revelations I should put into practice would be held fast in my imagination.


Give me strength in my contemplation of nature and raise my spirit above the new struggles that have made my hopes vanish.

Glorious Prince of the Court of Heaven and most excellent Saint Gabriel, first minister of God, friend of Jesus Christ, and favored by the Holy Mother, Defender of the church and lawyer of man. You favor our devotions and help me to love and serve you. Grant me what I desire and ask for with this prayer, for the honor, glory and fulfillment of my soul.

Prayer to the Great Indian Spirit
O, Great Chief, faithful Indian Spirit. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, I, a faithful believer in Your power, ask You in this moment, to help me. O Great Spirit, You know my problems. Help me with Your Power and guide me with Your holy and divine protection.


O, Great Indian Spirit, I ask You in the name of Jesus, offer me Your protection, and with Your ax break the chains that my enemies bind me with spiritually and in all money matters.


With the poison of Your arrows, destroy the evil thoughts against me. With Your eyes see that no one does me harm in any way.

Prayer for the Soldiers
Oh my God, permit that a ray of light shine in the minds of the great rulers of the nations of the world. Oh my God, permit the peace to benefit all. Oh Jesus of Nazareth, enlighten the minds of those men responsible to make a just and reasonable peace. Let the black clouds which wrap those minds be dissolved. My God, penetrate the light of reason with good understanding of the peace we all desire. My God, let our soldiers return to their homes safe and sound.


Oh Heavenly Father, make your justice for all human beings. Have all the mothers of the universe make a just petition to your immense power. You who can do all, and who are the Supreme Maker of all creation, we desire to be heard in this plea. My God, so we may devote ourselves in the obligation which we were laid by the master Jesus of Nazareth. May we love each other, so the light will shine again in the reasoning of our souls.


Ahead soldiers, ahead God always understands and helps those who do not desire to kill, but by the law of destiny have to go to war. May the Guardian Angels protect them all in all the hours of the day and night, and that soon, My God, we will all be happy in complete harmony.
Amen
